#002: Interrupted Burglary
At about 2:23 am, a resident on Lake Mead Dr reported hearing a loud crash.  He looks at a neighbor’s house and saw the garage door had been pried open.  The resident also sees 2 subjects at the neighbor’s home.  When officers arrived, they hear movement at the house, and see flashlights.  However, the subjects fled the scene.  Officers set up a perimeter and requested a CHP helicopter.  Officers began to search within the perimeter.  At about 3:52 am, one suspect was arrested at a nearby residence. 

Officers continued to search for the second suspect.  At about 4:45 am, an officer spotted a commotion at a residence on Lake Candlewood Dr.  Officers responded and determined the second suspect was at that house, and had confronted an occupant of that residence.  The second suspect surrendered and was arrested. 
The investigation resulted in officers locating a “marijuana grow house” operation at the original address that was broken into on Lake Mead Dr.  Officers also located a stolen vehicle nearby, which was associated to the suspects.

Detectives responded to conduct a search warrant and search of the Lake Mead address.  Detectives took over the investigation.  Detectives will conduct follow up regarding the “grow house.”

At the conclusion, two suspects were arrested:  1) a 32 year old male from Oakland, for robbery, burglary, and auto theft; and 2) a 31 year old male from Oakland, for burglary.

#005:  Commercial burglary
At about 6:11 am, a reporting party called FPD to advise two males were breaking into a commercial storage container in the 40000 block of Fremont Bl.  One of the responding officers sees a male loading merchandise into a, later determined, stolen van.  The second male flees on foot.  Officers establish a perimeter.  A detective spotted the male who fled, under a nearby bridge.  The two males were arrested:  one was a 24 year old male from Newark and the second was a 28 year male from Fremont.
