#LASD Homicide Shooting Death Investigation, 6300 blk Starview Dr, Lancaster
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives responded to the 6300 block Starview Drive, Lancaster, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a female and male adult.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a White, female adult and a Black male adult. The incident occurred Monday, June 19, 2017, at approximately 12:20 a.m., on the 6300 block of Starview Drive, Lancaster.
Detectives have learned that deputies assigned to Lancaster Sheriff’s Station responded to the location regarding a medical emergency call. Upon their arrival deputies located the female adult who had suffered at least one gunshot wound to her upper torso. They also located the male adult inside the residence who had also sustained a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the male and female where married. It appears they were engaged in a verbal altercation. The female left the residence to go to a neighbor’s house. The male, armed with a firearm, followed the female and shot her in front of the neighbor’s residence. The male then returned to their residence and shot himself in the upper torso.
No other persons where inside the residence at the time of the incident.
