Saturday morning, OSBI special agents were requested to assist the Garvin County Sheriff’s Office with a homicide near Elmore City. Special agents arrived on scene to find a man’s deceased body inside his pickup truck parked at the entrance of an oil lease 4 miles west of Highway 74 on County Road 1690. An oil field worker found the body and called authorities. The medical examiner’s office is performing an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death and to identify the man. Obvious signs of trauma to the body indicate he is a homicide victim. Special agents are currently working on a presumption of who the victim is and are running multiple leads. More information will be released when it becomes available.
