INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: 1900 Block of Desoto St., Needles
SUSPECT: Francisco Garcia, 40 years old, Needles, CA
SUMMARY:
On June 13, 2017 at about 6:14 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/ Needles Police Department responded to a home in the 1900 block of Desoto Street in Needles for a report of a man who was beaten with a metal pole and sustained a broken leg. The suspect was identified as Francisco Garcia, who fled the scene on foot.
On June 15, 2017, Garcia was located in an abandoned house in the 200 block of Bazabooth Street in Needles and taken into custody. Garcia was transported to the Needles Station, interviewed and booked into the Needles Jail for assault with a deadly weapon. His bail was set at $50,000.00. Garcia is currently on formal felony probation for False Imprisonment.
