On June 11, 2017 at approximately 10:00 pm, deputies from West Hollywood Sheriff's Station responded to a vehicle collision call near the intersection of La Peer Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard in the City of West Hollywood.

The preliminary facts indicate that a vehicle driven by the suspect was in a parking lot located at 652 La Peer Avenue when he unexpectedly accelerated into a crowd of nightclub patrons.  Four of the patrons were struck by the vehicle.

In an attempt to flee the scene, the vehicle continued to accelerate as it turned westbound towards the exit to La Peer Avenue colliding with several parked vehicles.  Responding deputies immediately detained the suspect.
One of the patrons struck by the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.  The other three victims were treated at the scene for their injuries by Los Angeles County Fire Department Paramedics and transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and hit and run and booked at West Hollywood Sheriff Station.
