Excessive Heat Warning until 09:00PM Wednesday

...Extended Period of Hot Weather for Inland Areas Friday through Wednesday... .High pressure building over Arizona this weekend will remain nearly stationary through at least next Wednesday. This weather pattern will result in an extended period of very hot weather, especially over the deserts. ...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM FRIDAY TO 9 PM PDT WEDNESDAY... The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued an Excessive Heat Warning...which is in effect from 11 AM Friday to 9 PM PDT Wednesday. The Excessive Heat Watch is no longer in effect.

* High Temperatures... 110-116 Friday through Sunday, increasing to 112-120 Monday through Wednesday.

* Impacts...This heat wave will increase the potential for heat related illnesses. Those working or spending time outdoors, the elderly, children, and those unaccustomed to the heat will be most susceptible.

* Outlook...This heat wave may continue beyond Wednesday, perhaps through the end of next week.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COACHELLA VALLEY ... SAN DIEGO COUNTY DESERTS ... SAN GORGONIO PASS NEAR BANNING

Instructions:

Take extra precautions...if you work or spend time outside. When possible...reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.
