On 6-11-17, around 1247 hours, Petaluma Police Department officers were dispatched to the report of a male, later identified as Brian Hilleshiem, who was passed out behind the wheel of a parked vehicle in the Casa Grande High School parking lot. Petaluma Fire Department personnel arrived first and smelled the odor of an alcoholic type beverage from Hilleshiem’s general presence.
Officers administered field sobriety tests and obtained Hilleshiem’s preliminary blood alcohol, which was over twice the California legal limit of .08%. The investigation revealed he drove his 7 year old son to a sporting event at the school after drinking. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and child endangerment, and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
