Sheriff's Office investigates a single vehicle fatality crash Saturday afternoon. 
A single vehicle crash in Vigo County claims the life of a Brazil woman Saturday afternoon.
Rhonda L. Payne, 41, was driving her 2005 Ford Escape passenger car eastbound on Kyle Avenue when she veered off the roadway and struck a tree at approximately 4:00 PM.
Payne was transported by Trans Care Ambulance to Union Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Chief Deputy John Moats stated that the victim was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash but also tested positive for alcohol and marijuana.
Nevins Fire/Rescue also assisted.
