Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are responding to the 4100 block of Torrance Boulevard, Torrance, regarding a death investigation. The incident occurred on May 31, 2017, at approximately 5:30 pm, in the 300 block of East 220th Street, in the city of Carson.
The victim, an 85 year-old Hispanic male, succumbed to his injuries today June 7, 2017, at 4:27 pm. The victim was viciously assaulted and robbed by an unknown suspect as he was walking alone in his neighborhood.
The suspect was described as a male Hispanic in his 20’s, light complexion, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts, dark baseball cap, with short curly hair. A sketch depicting the suspect is attached to this press release.
