Press Release
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Northern California Region held their annual recognition event in Woodland, California on June 3, 2017. This event recognizes and honors individual officers throughout Northern California for their efforts with reducing the number of impaired drivers on our roadways. During this event, Corcoran Police Officer Natalia Camarena was recognized for her hard work and dedication to keeping the roadways free of impaired drivers. Drunk driving is a serious crime that continues to bring needless pain to innocent victims. Although much progress has been made to increase the safety of the motoring public, we still know that 2 out of 3 people will be impacted by drunk driving in their lifetime and everyday 28 people are killed at the hands of drunk drivers. Officer Camarena’s recognition by the Northern California Region of MADD exemplifies Corcoran Police Department’s commitment, as well as her personal commitment, to reducing the impact of drunk drivers on our community.
