Community Alert: Felony Hit and Run on May 20, 2017 at approx. 4:15 PM. Vehicle vs Motorcycle. The driver failed to stop and render aid
On May 20, 2017 at approximately 4:15 p.m., a motorcyclist was riding westbound Hubbard Street approaching Glenoaks Boulevard. As the motorcyclist entered the left turn pocket on Hubbard Street east of Glenoaks Boulevard, he was hit from behind by the suspect’s vehicle, driving westbound Hubbard Street in the two-way left turn lane crossing over the yellow lines. The collision caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from his motorcycle and collide with the roadway. The suspect’s vehicle ran over the victim’s left leg and continued negotiating the left turn onto southbound Glenoaks Boulevard without stopping or rendering aid as required by law. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains with serious injury.
