Incidents 240 Reports 41

#012 Public Intoxication Arrest
Officers Dennis and Richards responded to the 39200 Block of Liberty Street where a male was bothering customers.  They contacted the male and found that he was unable to care for himself.  He was arrested for public intoxication. 

#034 DUI Arrest
At 5:37 p.m., Sgt. Mahboobi responded to a report of a person possibly in need of medical attention on Sauvignon Ct.  The reporting party stated they saw a person slumped over in the driver seat of a black Toyota 4Runner.  They also stated the vehicle as stopped in the middle of the road with the engine running.  When officers arrived, the vehicle was gone.  As Sgt. Mahboobi left the area and was stopped at the signal on Warm Springs Blvd and Scott Creek, he observed the black 4Runner occupied by a female driver at the light.  He began following the vehicle and observed it swerve three times into the adjacent lane.  As they turned onto Dixon Landing he activated his emergency lights and the driver continued at a slow speed until they reached the dead end of Dixon Landing Rd in Milpitas.  He contacted the driver and observed her eyes were closed and her head was hanging down as if she was asleep.  He reached inside the vehicle, placed it in park an, turned off the ignition and removed the key.  During the investigation officers located a Big Gulp cup containing champagne and hydrocodone pills.  The 39 year old adult female was arrested for DUI.

#040 Suspicious Circumstances
A family attending graduation near the 43000 block of Mission Blvd reported that while walking back towards their vehicle, an unknown male picked up their 5 year old child. The father removed the child from the male’s arms. The family did not believe the male was attempting to kidnap or injure the child but felt he may have mental health issues. The male boarded a bus and the left the area. Officer Wong is following up with AC transit to attempt images of the male. The male was described as a white male adult, approximately 45 years old, 5'10" tall, thin build with dirty blonde long hair, possibly transient. LSW: White shirt and khaki pants.

#002 Vandalism
Multiple street racers were reported near Kato Road and left when officers arrive. The racers then gathered near Fremont/Lakeview and again leave as officers arrive. Finally a group gathers near Chevron Gas near Cushing. One of the passengers damages the front glass door of the business. Possible suspect leads are being followed up by Officer Wong. 

#005 Suspicious Circumstances/Assault with Deadly Weapon
At 2:30 a.m., an outside agency called to report a victim of a non-lethal gunshot wound was being treated at a hospital in their city. The incident was being reported to have occurred near Fremont Blvd. and Decoto Rd. Officer Fuellenbach and CSI O’Neal respond to interview the victim. Officers obtained very little information regarding the incident.  Officers went to the location where the incident was said to have occurred during the night and again during day light hours, and were unable to locate a crime scene.  Follow up is being conducted by Officer Fuellenbach.

#006/07 Commercial Burglaries
Officers responded to two alarm calls ten minutes apart at Little Caesar’s Pizzeria’s at Fremont/Sundale and then Fremont/Thornton.  Both businesses had damage to the front glass doors.  It appears the suspects were attempting to steal the safe at each business but were unsuccessful as the businesses had recently secured their safes following a previous burglary.   Officer Perry and Officer Oliveira investigated the burglaries.

#014 Drug Possession 
Officers were dispatched to Northgate Park where a transient had been loitering around the restroom all day.  Officer Han located a 26 year old male and found that he was in possession of a controlled substance. The male was transported to the Fremont Jail and booked without incident.

#017 Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
Officers patrolling near the 3400 block of Capital Ave contacted a 50 year old male Fremont resident.  He was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for the same.  Case investigated by Officer Vucurevich.

#022 Warrant Arrest
Officers searched the area of Doane Street / Cedarwood Drive looking for a wanted male.   The 34 year old adult male was located nearby and arrested for felony vandalism and transported to Fremont City Jail.  Case investigated by Officer Floresca and Officer Madsen.

Swing shift handled three mental health evaluation reports.

#170603047- Disturbance
Unwelcomed guests made contact with partygoers attending a family birthday party being held at a business on Albrae near Stevenson. During the course of conversation someone used the word “gun” which caused frenzy (likely due to intoxication). Officers responded and conducted two separate high risk stops with no gun being located. In the end, the party was shut down. Officer Wong documented the incident with assists by Officer Knudson and Officer Higgins. The unpermitted party is being followed up by permitting staff with a referral to Code Enforcement.

#034 Recovered Stolen Vehicle
Officer Dubowy located an unoccupied stolen vehicle (Hyundai Sonata) at Central Park.  CSI O’Neal processed the car and Officer Dubowy documented the recovery.

#003 Possession of Methamphetamine and Warrant Arrest
Officer Collins stopped a 65 year old adult male at the Casa Robles Apartments and arrested him for possession of methamphetamine and an active misdemeanor warrant.

#014 Commercial Burglary
A suspect entered the a business on the 500 block of Mowry Ave. and stole a basket full of purses while attendees were meditating.  One of the patrons noticed the missing purses and confronted two suspects.  They were located at the back of the business going through the purses they had just taken.  The suspects gave back the property and then fled on the Creek Trail eastbound.  Officer Vucurevich arrived on scene and located one of the suspects along with the assistance of Officer Floresca and FTO Madsen.  The detained suspect was identified as a 55 year old adult male and the female primary suspect is still outstanding.  She is described as a white female adult in her 20’s, brown hair, wearing a black shirt with a red sweater, black tights and orange shoes.  Case being investigated by Officer Floresca.

#026 Vandalism
Officer Godrich investigated vandalism to a vehicle in the 4100 block of Bell Street. The victim initially thought his windows were shot out, but officers could not locate any bullets or casings. Further follow up being conducted by Officer Godrich.

#018 Unlicensed Driver
Officer Han conducted a traffic stop and arrested/cite released a 23 year old adult male for being an unlicensed driver.

#023 Battery
At 8:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to Kaiser Hospital on the report of a battery.  Officer learned that someone brought a German Shepard and two Chihuahuas with them to visit a family member in the hospital. When security learned there were dogs in one of the rooms, they asked the visitors to remove the dogs from the room, but they refused.   One of the family members pushed one of the security guards.  Officers arrived and took a 39 year old adult male into custody.  Case investigated by Officer Floresca and FTO Madsen.  The suspect was booked at Santa Rita.

#025 Violation of Probation, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Identity Theft
Officer Oliveira was flagged down by a community member who saw two people on the roof of Vallejo Mills Elementary School.  Officer Oliveria detained a 30 year old adult male as he was walking out of the school.  The male lied about who he was and a search of his person revealed drug paraphernalia and a woman’s identification and credit.  The male was arrested and transported to Fremont Jail.

#011, 012 Commercial Burglaries
CSO Ernst investigated two commercial burglaries in the 46600 block of Fremont Bl. that had occurred over the weekend.  Loss reported was an air compressor, bicycle and office supplies.

#020 In-Progress Apartment Burglary
Officers responded to the Boulevard Apartments when a caller reported an unknown suspect entered her residence via a window. The reporting party confronted the suspect who immediately fled. The suspect was described as a Filipino male or darker skinned male, with a grey shirt and white pants.  The suspect was carrying a satchel or bag around his body.  A few minutes later Sgt. Samayoa located a possible suspect walking near Davis and Margery.  Sgt. Samayoa gave verbal commands to the possible suspect and the chase was on.  A perimeter was set up and a yard to yard search was conducted for several hours; however the suspect managed to escape.
