Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Carson Station detectives are actively investigating a brutal assault and robbery of an 85-year-old man.  The innocent victim was walking his neighborhood alone when he was viciously attacked by an unknown suspect.  The assault occurred on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at approximately 5:30 p.m.  Further details of the incident are currently being investigated by detectives. 
 
The suspect was described as a male Hispanic in his 20’s, light complexion, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts, dark baseball cap, with short curly hair.  A sketch depicting the suspect is attached to this press release.
