Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a female Hispanic adult that occurred on May 29, 2017, at approximately 9:30 a.m.
 
Detectives have learned that Compton Station deputies responded to the 1600 block of East Palmer Street, Compton, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call.  Upon their arrival, deputies discovered a female adult suffering from multiple stab wounds.
 
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with her ex-boyfriend. During the course of the argument, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times.
 
The ex-boyfriend left the location prior to the arrival of deputy personnel. He was later detained in Ventura County following a minor vehicle traffic collision.
 
The ex-boyfriend is listed a “person of interest” pending further interviews by detectives.  No other suspects are being sought at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are responding to the 1600 block of East Palmer Street, Compton, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a female adult.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
