Assault with a Deadly Weapon
People’s Park
UCPD Case # 17-01407
 
On Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. an assault likely to cause great bodily injury occurred in People’s Park.  An altercation began between the male suspect and the male victim, both unaffiliated.  The suspect threatened the victim and then hit him in the back of the head with a skateboard.  The suspect fled the area.  The victim was treated for a head injury.  UCPD searched the area but could not locate the suspect.
 
The suspect was described as:
A Black male, 35 years of age, 5’7” in height, 170 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

  • Please do not delay in calling 911.  UCPD strongly encourages the reporting of criminal or suspicious activity in a timely manner to assist us in intervening in potential criminal actively and apprehending suspects.
  • If harassed or assaulted, scream and attempt to run for safety.
  • Walk confidently, directly, and at a steady paced. Don’t stop to talk to strangers.
  • Be alert for subjects loitering in an area with no particular purpose.
