Marijuana Eradication in Mountain Ranch
(Mountain Ranch, CA) On 05/22/2017 at approximately 9:00 AM, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies with the assistance of Calaveras County Code Enforcement served a search warrant on a property located on the 8400 block of West Murray Creek Road in Mountain Ranch. The search warrant was conducted on an unregistered illegal marijuana grow.
As Deputies arrived at the location, two Hispanic males were seen fleeing into a heavily wooded area at the rear of the property. Deputies gave chase and searched the surrounding area, but were unable to apprehend the subjects. After a thorough investigation at the site 399 marijuana plants were seized. Additionally during a search of the area surrounding the grow site, Deputies located a snare placed along a small game trail.
The investigation into the identities of the persons involved is ongoing.
