OUTDOOR WARNING SIREN SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
Teton County Emergency Management is performing routine maintenance on the County's outdoor warning siren system from May 23rd through May 25th, 2017. The sirens are placed throughout the County in locations near population centers, and are designed to warn people who are outdoors that something is wrong and to tune to radio, TV, or NOAA All-Hazards Weather Radio for further instructions. You can learn more about Teton County's outdoor warning siren system and see a map of where sirens are located here:

During this maintenance, the public may hear audible tests of the siren system. Be advised this is only a test. During an actual emergency, sirens will wail for 3 minutes, indicating you should tune to local radio, TV, or NOAA All-Hazards Weather Radio for further information. Teton County uses outdoor warning sirens for significant hazards that have the potential for life-safety impacts to large segments of public that are outdoors in range of the sirens, including but not limited to tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, dam failure, and wildfire.
