**Update - Mr. Vera was located safe and in good health in San Jose.**
Joe Vera, 78-years-old, was last seen today at about 0700 hours walking from his house on the 7000 block of Mount Vernon Way, in Gilroy. Mr. Vera has dementia and he is also has diabetes (insulin dependent).
Mr. Vera is Hispanic, 5’9”, 114 pounds, with grey hair. His primary language is English. He is normally dressed in a dress shirt and slacks. Please see the attached photograph of Mr. Vera. He may be wearing a green or blue jacket. Mr. Vera is in good physical condition and he is able to walk a good distance.
The Gilroy Police Department is asking your assistance to help locate Mr. Vera. If you happen to see anyone matching his description, please notify the police.
