Mother of Missing 5-Year-Old Aramazd Andressian Jr. Makes Public Plea and Sheriff's Homicide Dets Seek Information

Mother of Missing 5-Year-Old Aramazd Andressian Jr. Makes Public Plea and Sheriff’s Homicide Seek Information

Who:          Assistant Sheriff Eddie Rivero, Homicide Captain Chris Bergner, Lieutenant Joe Mendoza, Detective Louie Aguilera and Detective Marc Boisvert; Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department; Chief Arthur Miller, Captain Michael Neff, Captain Brian Solinsky; South Pasadena Police Department and the Mother of Aramazd Andressian Jr.

What:         On Saturday, April 22, 2017, at approximately 10 a.m., the boy’s mother, Ana Estevez, reported her son missing to the San Marino Police Department after her ex-husband failed to show up for the custody exchange of Aramazd Jr.

During San Marino Police Department’s initial investigation, they discovered that the missing boy’s father was in the hospital and his vehicle had been towed to a local tow yard.  They learned that at about 6:30 in the morning, South Pasadena Police Department had responded to Arroyo Park regarding an unconscious male found next to his car.  The male was later determined to be Aramazd Jr’s father and the boy was nowhere in sight.

Upon learning of Aramazd Jr’s disappearance, South Pasadena Police Department and the San Marino Police Department, partnered with other San Gabriel Valley police agencies to conduct a large scale search operation in an attempt to locate the missing boy; however, he was not found.

The following morning, on April 23, 2017, South Pasadena Police Department requested assistance from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau.  Investigators Louie Aguilera and Marc Boisvert were assigned as lead Investigators in this case.

To date, Investigators have coordinated the search of numerous residences, public areas, conducted countless interviews, probed countless tips and reviewed all potential evidence that could lead to learning the whereabouts of Arazmazd Jr.

Investigators are continuing their efforts to locate Aramazd Jr.  We are thankful for the $20,000 reward sponsored by Supervisor Kathryn Barger and graciously approved by the Board of Supervisors. Detectives hope it will motivate someone to come forward with information.

We are asking for the public’s help.  Anyone who has any information regarding the disappearance of Aramazd Jr. is asked to contact our Homicide Bureau or South Pasadena Police Department.
