On Monday May 15, 2017 the Giles County Sheriff’s Department, Ambulance Service, Fire and Rescue, EMA responded to a report of an ATV crash in a field on Sumac Road. Upon arrival responder's located 3 individuals that had been involved in the crash. One of those individuals was identified as Cassandra Michelle O’Bryan, 20 years old form Rutherford County, TN who was pronounced deceased on the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. One male person was transported to Southern TN Regional Hospital in Pulaski with non-life threatening injuries and the other male person was transported by Air-Evac to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. The Giles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash with assistance from the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Critical Incident Response Team.
