4/28 – 11:00 p.m. – Police responded to a call for a subject removal at an address on North Lafayette Street. The officer found a female that appeared to be intoxicated. While the individuals involved and the officer were outside in the parking lot, the female became verbally abusive, non-compliant, and then struck the officer in his chest with her fist. She continued to resist after being handcuffed, and kicked the Millstadt Officer, as well as a Smithton Officer that arrived for assistance. The St. Clair County State’s Attorney charged the defendant, Candace L. Krausz age 54 of Freeburg, with Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer & Resisting a Peace Officer. Her bond was set at $15,000.
