On May 14, 2017, at 1:06 a.m. Deputy Loren Barchett was traveling southbound on US 41 behind a White Mitsubishi Eclipse that was having trouble maintaining its lane of travel. Deputy Barchett conducted a traffic stop near the US 41 and County Road 300 South intersection and identified the driver as 31 year old Horacio Estrada of Indianapolis, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Deputy Barchett ran Mr. Estrada through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Mr. Estrada had never been issued a valid operator’s license. Upon further investigation it was learned that Mr. Estrada had never been issued a valid license anywhere in the United States. At that point Deputy Barchett placed Mr. Estrada into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle With Ever Having Received a License. Mr. Estrada remains in custody on a $900 bond.
