Udpate on Fire at 3800 San Pablo Ave

On 5/13/17 at 5:05am Emeryville Police Dispatchers began receiving numerous 911 calls of a fire in the area of San Pablo Ave and Adeline St. Officers responded and located the fire at 3800 San Pablo Ave, a large multi-unit residential building under construction. The Alameda County Fire Department and Oakland Fire Department responded to the scene. Officers assisted with traffic control and arranging for shelter for affected residents near the fire. There were no reports of injuries.
Traffic in the area will be impacted until the fire is fully extinguished, clean up and investigation are completed. Traffic on several streets will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic except for emergency vehicles. The streets currently closed to traffic are: San Pablo Ave between 37th St and 40th St, Adeline St between 36th St and Yerba Buena Ave, 39th St between Adeline St and Market St, Apgar St between W. Macarthur Blvd and Market St, W. Macarthur Blvd between Emery St and Market St.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Alameda County Fire Department is leading the investigation into the cause of the fire and coordinating with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with the assistance and support of the Emeryville Police Department.
