An Apple Valley man in arrested for negligent discharge of a firearm

INCIDENT: Negligent Discharge of a Firearm
SUSPECT(S): David Floyd Rains, 58, Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, May 11, 2017, deputies responded to a residence located in the 8400 block of Aspen Road in the unincorporated area of Apple Valley. Deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the residence and found David Rains in possession of a firearm.
Deputy Sean Byrne conducted an investigation at the residence and learned David Rains had fired a weapon outside his residence. David Rains was taken into custody without incident and booked at High Desert Detention Center, where he is being held on a charge of negligent discharge of a firearm, with bail set at $50,000.
