Male arrested after attempting to break into the home of an elderly woman

LOCATION: 25000 block Sunrise Ct, city of Loma Linda
SUSPECT(S): Aaron Fletcher, 22-year-old male, Transient, Loma Linda, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential Persons
SUMMARY: On May 4, 2017, Loma Linda Deputies L. Sandoval and B.Ortiz responded to a call of a suspicious male at the door of an elderly female residence. The deputies arrived at the location and located Aaron Fletcher in the area. Fletcher matched the description of the person described by the victim.
Sandoval attempted to detain Fletcher. Fletcher resisted Sandoval's efforts to detain him and tried fleeing the area on foot. After a brief struggle, Sandoval and responding deputies were able to take Fletcher into custody without further incident.
During the investigation, deputies learned that Fletcher had been casing several residences at the location. Fletcher then attempted to force his way into the victim's residence as deputies arrived. After seeing deputies, the victim saw Fletcher run away to avoid beeing captured.
Fletcher was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for the above violations.
