Full Notification

The City of San Rafael Council has approved the Smart Train quiet zone. This means throughout all of Marin no train horns will sound at the crossings. Starting today, Smart will start simulating their full schedule, the trains will make about 30 trips, 15 in each directions along the initial 43-mile line from north Santa Rosa to downtown San Rafael. That will drop to about 10 trips on weekends. The San Rafael Police Department would like to remind you to please use caution at all railroad crossings.
