INCIDENT: K9 Dare Leads Deputies to the Location of Two Strong Arm Robbery Suspects

LOCATION: 7000 block of Bari Court

SUSPECT(S): 17-year-old male juvenile from Rancho Cucamonga
17-year-old male juvenile from Fontana


SUMMARY:

On May 10th, 2017, at about 12:10 am, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to the report of a strong-arm robbery. The victim, a pizza delivery driver, arrived at what turned out to be an abandoned residence on the 7000 block of Bari Court. As he walked to the home, a male juvenile was waiting outside. Another male juvenile approached him from behind and hit him over the head with a bottle. The two suspects stole the pizza the driver was delivering and all the pizza from his vehicle. Both suspects then fled the area.

Deputy Girard and his K9, Dare, arrived at the incident location, where Dare was able to pick up a scent of the suspects. Dare lead deputies to a home on the 11800 block of Trapani Drive. Two male juveniles were found standing on the side of the home, and another two male juveniles were found inside the garage eating pizza. Through investigation, deputies located evidence linking two of the juveniles to the crime. The two male juveniles were transported and booked at the San Bernardino Juvenile Hall for strong-arm robbery.
