Sheriff Victor Hill's Elite Fugitive Squad Traces #4 On The Top Ten Most Wanted To A Location In N.C.

Cameron Beckett made #4 On Sheriff Victor Hill's top ten most wanted on April 30, 2017, during a child visitation return. The Mother of Beckett's daughter was running late to pick up her daughter. When she arrived, Beckett started to argue with her for being late. Beckett then put his daughter into the car and grabbed her mother's sunglasses and snapped them in half. The mother then attempted to drive off and Beckett jumped onto the moving vehicle. The victim then backed the vehicle up and then attempted to drive forward. As she was pulling forward, Beckett pulled out a gun and shot into the vehicle as she was driving away. Fortunately, the bullet missed her and the baby. The parking lot in which the incident occurred was less than 50 yards away from a nearby busy highway.

Clayton County Police obtained warrants for Beckett's arrest for 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, Cruelty to Children, Firearm Discharge near a Highway, and Firearm Discharge on the Property of Another.

Yesterday, Sheriff Victor Hill's elite Fugitive Squad traced Beckett to Cumberland County in North Carolina. Contact was made with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina and they were giving a possible location for Beckett. Cumberland County Sheriff's Office was able to successfully execute the warrants at the location provided, and Beckett was taken into custody without incident.

It is doubtful that Beckett wants to ride back to Clayton County on top of Sheriff's Deputies transport vehicle the way he desperately tried to ride on top of his daughters mother car before he shot at her. The ride in the caged backseat while handcuffed will be much more better for Beckett to safely return, so that that he can spend quality time facing the wall at Georgia's toughest para-military jail.
