Deputies arrest an Adelanto man for attempted murder

INCIDENT: ATTEMPT MURDER
SUSPECT(S): Jesse Jacob Yorke, age44 of Adelanto
SUMMARY:
The suspect, Jesse Jacob Yorke, and the victim are husband and wife. On Saturday, May 6, 2017, Yorke and the victim began arguing in the desert area near Sonoma Road and Bellflower Street in Adelanto. The victim sat in her vehicle and refused to exit. While she was still sitting inside her vehicle, Yorke began splashing the victim and her vehicle with gasoline. Yorke then made threatening remarks to the victim and she called 911.
Deputies arrived and arrested Jesse Jacob Yorke without incident. At the time of his arrest, Yorke was found to be in possession of two lighters. Yorke is currently being held at the High Desert Detention Center without bail.
