Traffic stop leads officers to Evansville man's Marijuana. 
On May 6, 2017, at 1:37 a.m. Deputy Ben Kiesel conducted a traffic stop on an Orange 2006 Mitsubishi for speeding on US 41 near County Road 650 South. Upon stopping the vehicle on US 41 near County Road 1250 South Deputy Kiesel identified the driver as 31 year old Aaron Bentley of Evansville, Indiana. While speaking with Mr. Bentley Deputy Kiesel detected the odor of burnt Marijuana coming from within the vehicle and began a roadside interdiction investigation.
At the end of the investigation Mr. Bentley was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Possession of Marijuana. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.
Deputy Kiesel was assisted in his investigation by Fort Branch Officer Jeff Beck.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
