On May 5, 2017, at 2:20 a.m. Deputy Ben Kiesel observed a White 1997 Pontiac traveling Eastbound on Emerson Street in Princeton without any tail lights on the vehicle. Upon conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of Emerson and Hart Street Deputy Kiesel believed that the driver 19 year old Drue Roberts of Princeton may be impaired on an unknown intoxicant. At that point Deputy Kiesel began a roadside DUI investigation that resulted in the arrest of Mr. Roberts for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated on a Controlled Substance. Mr. Roberts remains in custody at the Gibson County Jail on a $650 bond.

Assisting Deputy Kiesel were officers from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office and the Princeton Police Department.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
