The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Athens County, which is in effect from 12PM until 6PM, Tuesday, May 2nd.
Winds - West 15 to 20 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph.
Timing - Noon today through 6 PM this evening.
Impacts - Trees may fall. Power outages may occur. High profile vehicles may have difficulty driving.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS;
A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
