Traffic Advisory - May 5th - May 7th
Please be advised of the following events taking place in the Township of Babylon this weekend. These events may cause traffic delays and/or temporary road closures.
**Lindenhurst Annual Springfest:
Friday May 5: 5pm - 9pm and Saturday May 6: Noon - 9pm
The following roads will be closed:
West Hoffman Ave, North of the LIRR from School St. to No. Wellwood Ave. and the School St. parking lot for a carnival with rides.
Sunday May 7: Noon - 5pm (raindate Sun. May 21)
The following roads will be closed:
Wellwood Ave. from Gates Ave. north to John St. Hoffman Ave. south side from HIgh St. to So. First St., Hoffman Ave (north side) from Waldbaums to School St. for a street fair.
**Wyandanch Witness Project / Walk of L.I.
Saturday, May 6th 7:30 am - 4 pm
The following roads will be closed:
The walk begins at the Wyandanch Sr. Nutrition Center and proceeds on Wyandanch Ave. to Straight Path South to Wellwood Ave., south to Farmers Ave., make left, continue east to Indiana Ave. head south to Sunrise Hwy., to No. Monroe Ave. Cross over Sunrise Hwy. to the pond.
Town of Babylon Earth Day - Saturday, May 6th 11am to 2pm
Earth Day 2017 celebration will take place at the Town Pond, 200 East Sunrise Hwy. No. Lindenhurst.
