Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the stabbing death of a man.  The incident occurred Sunday, April 30, 2017, at approximately 6:00 p.m., on the 3700 block of East 53^rd Street, Maywood. 
 
Detectives learned that the victim and the suspect were at a residence and began to argue.  During the argument the suspect stabbed the victim at least once in the torso.
 
The victim was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. 
 
The suspect was detained at the scene. 
 
The victim and suspect are separated and have two children in common. 
 
The Victim is a male Hispanic adult.
 
The Suspect is a female Hispanic adult. 
 
The investigation is ongoing.
