*Update* LASD Death Investigation, Angeles Forest Highway MM 21.08, Angeles National Forest

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male adult who was discovered in the area of Angeles Forest Highway MM 21.08 in the Angeles National Forest on Sunday, April 30, 2017.
 
Homicide detectives have learned that hikers in the area came across what appeared to be a dead body, prompting Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s deputies and LASD Special Enforcement Bureau Emergency Services Detail paramedics to respond to the scene.
 
The victim, a male, Asian adult, was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim appeared to have sustained multiple stab wounds to the upper torso.
 
The identity of the victim is unknown at this time and the exact cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
 
The investigation is on-going and there is no motive or suspect(s) information available at this time.
