Demonstration-related activity in the city of Berkeley is over and normal police operations have resumed.
Berkeley Police made five arrests as part of a coordinated effort to manage large scale demonstrations in the downtown and South Campus neighborhoods and on the UC Berkeley campus.
Thursday's efforts were made in close collaboration with University of California Police, who also made arrests.
Berkeley Police confiscated numerous weapons through the course of the day.
There were no reports of injuries nor any property damage.
Arrested today:
- Mark Wilder, Male, 52 years old, Irving, CA carrying a concealed dirk/dagger (Downtown Berkeley)
- Juvenile, possession of a controlled substance (Ohlone Park)
- To be identified person, resisting arrest (Civic Center Park)
- Donque Addison, Male, 28 years, Oakland, CA, resisting arrest (Civic Center Park)
- Stephen Hall, Male, 48, Oakland, CA, attempting to incite a riot/violation of probation (Civic Center Park)
