#015 Trespassing and Warrant Arrests
Officers were detailed to a trespassing call on the 3400 block of Capitol Avenue.  A 50 year old adult male and a 21 year old adult male were located within the building.   The 50 year old adult male was issued a trespass notice and the 21 year old was arrested for his felony warrant.   

#027 Brandishing a Weapon
A reporting party called and stated that during her commute home through Niles Canyon she was the victim of a road rage incident.  She told dispatchers that a truck driver brandished a baseball bat at her. A short time later the truck driver calls stating something different. The truck driver agrees to turn his rig around (in the canyon) and come back to Mission/Niles for the investigation.  The female caller refuses to turn around and come back to talk to the police. Incident documented by Officer Richards.

#36 Petty Theft  
The manager at CVC (HUB) calls again stating they have been victimized by a shoplifter. This time a suspect took a bottle of Jack Daniels, root beer and shampoo without paying for the items. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. Case investigated by Officer Catassi.

#043 Suspended License
At 9:50 p.m., Officer Soper cited a 37 year old adult female for driving on a suspended license following a vehicle stop in the area of the Ross store in Warm Springs.

#001 Burglary/Possession of Stolen Property/Possession of Illegal Drugs
At 1:54 a.m., Officer O’Neal was conducting an area check near Grimmer and Industrial following two recent commercial burglaries and made vehicle stop on a white Ford F250. Officer Soper responded to assist as he was the investigating officer of the burglaries.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 32 year old adult male, Fremont resident and a 34 year old adult female for multiple violations to include burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

#004 Misappropriation of Lost Property
At 4:57 a.m., Officer Davis arrested a 34 year old adult male for illegal possession of property belonging to another person following a welfare check at an address on Washburn Dr.

#005 Resisting Arrest and Mental Health Evaluation
At 7:05 a.m., Officer Carter found a 59 year old adult male walking in traffic in the roadway at Blacow and Hilo.  Officer Carter attempted to speak with the male multiple times, but he ignored the commands to stop.  He balled his hand into a fist then threated to physically assault Officer Carter.   Additional officers responded and as the male aggressively advanced, a TASER was deployed.  The male refused to give his name or any identifiable information.  He was subsequently placed on a mental health evaluation hold due to being a danger to others.  He was eventually ID’d and later transported to Santa Rita for charges of resisting arrest/obstructing/delaying a police officer.

#012 Battery on a Peace Officer, Possession and Under the Influence Arrest
Officer Wilson conducted a pedestrian stop on a 33 year old adult male, San Jose resident, in the 2600 block of Mowry Ave for a violation of a vehicle code.   During the contact, the male spontaneously admitted to be in possession and under the influence of meth.  Officers observed the symptoms and located a small plastic bag containing 2.3 grams of methamphetamine.   Officers took the male to a local hospital to be medically cleared and while there, he battered one of the officers.   He was placed in a WRAP and transported to Santa Rita.  The 33 year old male was arrested for battery on a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance and under the influence of a controlled substance. 

#014 Auto Burglary
CSO Schwartz investigated an auto burglary in the 4300 block of Cushing Pkwy. The loss is $4K worth of surveillance equipment. Video and images of the suspect were recovered.

#016 Receiving Stolen Property
At 12:35 p.m., Ohlone College staff found a gun . The gun was listed as stolen in AFS. Ohlone PD called FPD for assistance in detaining an associated student on campus, an active felony warrant came up when dispatch checked the student’s name. Officers responded and Officer L. Kennedy took custody of the 24 year-old adult from Ohlone College PD. Officer Kennedy arrested the male for the warrant and one count of receiving stolen property.  Following up on the gun is in-progress.

#026 Warrant Arrest
Officers were dispatched to Niles Park located on the 400 block of School Street, on the report of a male that appeared under the influence yelling at people and possibly carrying a gun in his waistband.  Officers located the 25 year old adult male and arrested him for his active warrant.  The possession of a gun was unfounded.  Case investigated by Officer Floresca and FTO J. Kennedy.

#034 Sexual Battery
At 5:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to Safeway on the 3900 block of Washington Blvd on the report of a man who was in the store harassing women and grabbed two inappropriately.  The reporting party stated the male appeared to be drunk and fled in a Ford Explorer.  Officers ran the plate and it came back to Newark.   When Newark PD was contacted to ask for assistance, they advised they already had the vehicle stopped and were investigating.  At the stop, officers observed a bottle of unopened Jameson Whiskey with a Safeway label lock still attached to the top of it.  During the investigation officers also watched the video surveillance footage from inside Safeway where they observed the suspect NPD had stopped in the store.  Newark arrested the 23 year old adult male and Officer Watts and FTO Loughery will seek a complaint on the two Fremont sexual battery cases with the District Attorney.

#039 Commercial Burglary
At 7:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to a commercial burglary on Solar Way after a suspect entered the business and stole 14 laptops before being confronted by a janitor.  The suspect fled in a Gray Nissan Quest.  Attempts to locate the vehicle were unsuccessful.
