**LOCATED** Child Abduction of Lexi Segura

DATE/TIME: Monday, April 24, 2017/10:00 a.m.
UPDATE:
On Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 9:20 a.m., Specialized Enforcement Detectives were searching the area of Holt Bl./Monte Vista Ave. in the City of Montclair, when they observed a grey Chevy Malibu with a driver matching the description of Daniel Segura. A traffic stop was conducted and Segura was taken into custody without incident. A handgun was located on Segura at the time of arrest.

Lexi Segura was found in the vehicle and is in good physical condition. She is being reunited with her mother at this time.

Daniel Segura will be booked at West Valley Detention Center for Child Abduction.

INCIDENT: Child Abduction/Amber Alert

LOCATION: 9500 block Edelweiss Street, Rancho Cucamonga

VICTIM: Lexi Segura, age1½ of Fontana

SUSPECT: Daniel Segura, age 38 of Pomona

SUMMARY:
On April 24, 2017, at 5:40 pm, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station responded to a residence in the 9500 block of Edelweiss Street. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that the victim, Lexi Segura was abducted from the residence by her father, the suspect, Daniel Segura. Lexi Segura is a 1 ½ year old hispanic female, 3 feet tall, weighing 35 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a baby blue shirt with gold writing, blue jeans and pink shoes.

The suspect, Daniel Segura is a 38 year old Hispanic Male, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a dark t-shirt, dark baseball cap and blue jean pants. Additionally, Daniel Segura has numerous tattoos on his arms and neck and should be considered armed and dangerous. The suspect brandished a handgun and left the location with Lexi without consent of Lexi’s mother. The suspect was last seen driving a 2012 red Mitsubish Galant, with a California License Plate Number of 6WEE209.

An immediate search began and deputies requested the assistance of the California Highway Patrol to issue an Amber Alert.

Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division responded to the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department to continue the investigation into the whereabouts of the victim and the suspect. The vehicle was later located unoccupied in Pomona.
