The Washtenaw County Sheriff Police Service Dog Unit (PSDU) will be training in Dexter the morning of Sunday 4-23-17. Each PSDU handler completes a physical re certification biannually with their Police Dog to ensure the handlers are in excellent physical condition.
The training will occur in undeveloped land between Baker and Dexter-Chelsea Rd near Mill Creek. Several signs will be posted in the area where the training will occur. Smoke and simulated gun fire will be used during the recertification. Everyone is welcome to watch the event however we ask that if see a handler with their Police Dog that you not approach them while they are completing the recertification process.
