Healdsburg Police officers are investigating a stabbing that occurred in front of the Healdsburg Community Center today at 1559 hours. According to statements obtained, two subjects engaged in an altercation in which one subject was stabbed in the arm. Prior to officers' arrival, the suspect fled north, away from the Community Center.
The vicitim, a 23-year-old Healdsburg resident, was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Luis Enrique Gonzalez from Healdsburg. At this time, Gonzalez remains at-large, and anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Healdsburg Police Department at (707) 431-3377.
Niether subject was associated with the Community Center or the activities involved.
Community Center staff immediately initiated lockdown procedures. The incident occurred outside of the presence of any of the children who were at the Community Center for afterschool activities.
