Announces an Arrest for:
Common Law Robbery, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Assault on a Female, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Possession Of Cocaine
The Southern Pines Police Department announces the arrest of Darius Shakee Toomer, 17 years of age of Rockingham, North Carolina on the above listed charges. This arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the Patrol and Investigation Divisions of the Southern Pines Police Department following a robbery incident that occurred at Pinecrest Plaza 10205 U.S. Highway 15/501 on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. This arrest is the result of a comprehensive collaborative investigation conducted by the Southern Pines Police Department and the Rockingham Police Department. Additionally, the vehicle that had been stolen in the robbery incident has been recovered.
Darius Shakee Toomer appeared before a Richmond County Magistrate and was remanded to the Richmond County Detention Center under $30,000.00 secured bond pending his court appearance on May 9, 2017, in Moore County District Court.
