Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department East Los Angeles Station detectives are investigating the non-fatal shooting that occurred on Monday, April 17, 2017, at 6:45 a.m.
 
East Los Angeles Station deputies responded to the 3500 block of Whiteside Street, East Los Angeles, regarding a gunshots heard call. 
 
During their investigation deputies learned that Los Angeles Police Department officers had responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Soto Street and Medford Street, East Los Angeles.  Los Angeles Police Department officers found four victims near the car.  One victim suffering from a gunshot wound, another victim suffering from head trauma, and the two other victims were not injured.
 
Preliminary information indicates a shooting at the victim’s vehicle occurred on Whiteside Street, East Los Angeles.  The victim’s vehicle then proceeded to Soto Street and Medford Street, Los Angeles were it collided with a parked vehicle. 
 
The two injured victims were transported to a local hospital, and are listed in critical but stable condition. 
 
There is no suspect information at this time.
