INCIDENT: Battery with Serious Injuries

LOCATION: Walmart – 13401 Main St., Hesperia

VICTIM: Confidential male adult

SUSPECT: #1 – Unknown male
#2- Dashean Antwan Wages, 24 years old, resident of Adelanto

SUMMARY:
On Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 7:29 p.m. deputies responded to Walmart regarding a fight involving several subjects inside the store. Upon arrival, deputies determined there was an argument between two females, that escalated to two adult males becoming involved in a fight. During the fight, one male adult was struck several times. The suspects involved in the argument and subsequent fight, left the store prior to the deputies’ arrival.

Deputies began reviewing store surveillance footage and determined that a subject who was not involved in the initial fight, approached the victim and punched him several times in the face knocking him unconscious. That subject was identified as Dashean Wages and was still in the store. Deputies made contact with Wages and took him into custody.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with significant injuries to his upper body.

Wage was booked at High Desert Detention Center for Battery with serious injuries with bail set at $100,000. He is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday, April 18th in Victorville Superior Court.

The suspect involved in the initial fight has not been identified at this time.
