On April 13, 2017, at 7:50 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle at the intersection of County Road 1300 South and County Road 25 West. Deputy Jason Marceaux as well as the Haubstadt Fire Department and Gibson County Ambulance Service were sent to the area to check on the welfare of the unresponsive male.

Upon arriving Deputy Jason Marceaux located Red 1998 Ford Ranger and was able to speak with the driver 39 year old Jeremy O’Dell of Louisville, Illinois. While speaking with Mr. O’Dell Deputy Marceaux began a roadside DUI investigation that resulting in the arrest of Mr. O’Dell for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (DUI.) Mr. O’Dell was transported at the end of Deputy Marceaux’s investigation to the Gibson County Jail and remains in custody on a $1500 bond.
