Investigators Search for Payne Co. Murder Victim's Service Dog
As OSBI special agents continue to investigate the murder of a Stillwater man whose body was dumped and set on fire in rural Payne County early Wednesday morning, investigators are searching for the victim’s dog. According to witnesses, Michael Hamilton was struck in the head with a ball bat and left for dead inside a Stillwater home all the while Hamilton’s service dog was nearby. After the suspects dumped Hamilton’s body, they drove to either rural Kay County or rural Noble County and dumped the dog. The dog is described as a pit bull mix that answers to Lil Mutt. Hamilton had the certified service dog to help him with health problems. Hamilton’s family would like to have the dog back. If anyone has spotted the dog, please call the OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017.
