Potential Hazardous weather for Clayton County late AM Monday morning. Click link for info. Sheriff Victor Hill

The NWS in Peachtree City is expecting a line of storms to approach late AM Monday morning through Monday evening. Storm models are showing Clayton County should expect severe weather at approximately 11am-2am.

· Location: Western/northwestern GA earlier in the day with the risk increasing south and east through the day. Greatest risk is West Central/Central GA.

· Primary Threats:

o Damaging winds over 60mph

o Tornadoes

o Hail up to the size of quarters

o Frequent Lightning

· Rainfall totals generally less than an inch. Locally higher in some areas.

This is round ONE of potential severe weather for our area, with the second round presenting a couple of days later. County employees should use extreme caution when traveling to and from work and be prepared for the worst scenario. Public safety personnel should be aware of the upcoming weather and brace for impact on trees and power lines. Call volume may increase due to the impact of the storms.
