Advisory

Severe weather and heavy rain possible on Sunday, monitor local media for updates.

Forecast Overview: The atmosphere will be capable of producing all severe weather threats if storms can develop. This means tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds will all be possible and the reason SPC has the area under a moderate risk for severe weather. Be sure to check forecasts and have multiple ways to get warnings on Sunday should severe storms develop.

Other Possibility: There is still some forecast data that indicate that the severe weather threat could be shifted NW of the area and the threat could be delayed more to the afternoon. At this point, the severe weather threat would be more wind/hail instead of tornado with a line of storms moving through the area in the afternoon.

Heavy Rainfall: Most of the area will probably get 1-3" of rain with 2-3" possible mainly for areas north of I-10. Isolated amounts could be as high as 3-4" which would be more likely from College Station to Crockett. This could increase the threat for flash flooding.
