...Late season winter storm possible Friday into Saturday... .Low pressure will develop over the Mid Atlantic states Thursday night and Friday which will then move northeastward to south of Cape Cod Saturday before departing out to sea thereafter. While uncertainty still remains concerning snow amounts due to the potential for mixing with rain and sleet, confidence is growing in a significant snowstorm, with the heaviest snowfall most likely Friday night into early Saturday morning. ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON... The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a Winter Storm Watch...which is in effect from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon.
* HAZARD TYPES...Heavy snow possible.
* Accumulations...Snow accumulation of 6 or more inches possible.
* TIMING...The snow will begin Friday morning across southwestern NH then move northeastward, covering the rest of the watch area by mid afternoon. The snow will increase in intensity Friday evening and overnight before ending around midday Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Slippery roads and low visibilities. The snow may be heavy and wet, especially across southern New Hampshire where the potential for power outages will exist.
* Winds...East 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
* Temperatures...In the lower 30s.
* Visibilities...A half mile or less possible.
