NotifyLA Test in 90049

**THIS IS ONLY A TEST**

At 7:00 p.m. on 3/30/17 the City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department conducted a test of the NotifyLA mass notification system in the 90049 zip code. If you are receiving this message, you are enrolled in the system.

NotifyLA is the City of Los Angeles' official mass notification system used to send voice messages, text messages and email messages to residents and businesses during times of emergencies and disasters. Notifying the public when a disaster strikes might be the one and only safeguard the public can count on to save their lives and protect their property.

Because NotifyLA uses the 911 database, only land-line numbers are automatically included in the system. In order to receive a notification via your cell phone, Voice over IP (VoIP) number or email, you must register those telephone numbers and/or e-mail address in NotifyLA. NotifyLA uses geomapping so alerts are targeted by geographic location. That means, alerts will only be sent to the subscribers in the area impacted by the emergency.

Visit www.NotifyLA.org to subscribe for emergency notifications.
