On March 27, 2017, at approximately 10:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to a stabbing at the 99 Cent Store on Harbor Boulevard. Officers found a 63-year-old male victim with two stab wounds in the lower mid-back of his body. John Doe was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for the non-life-threatening wounds and is now in stable condition.

Officers quickly located Medina and after a short chase around the shopping center, Medina was arrested without incident.
